Starting to like Sam's better than Costco. Friendlier and much more helpful employees. Scan and go is very easy and a time saver at checkout. We visit Sam's in Flagstaff and Union Hills & 83rd ave area in the valley

They have really picked up their game with great beef stew meat, awesome meat display and selection of individual cuts of meat. Just wish there was an easy way to find a specific product other than to find and ask an employee.

It's a good place what's good deals and friendly staff. That being said they don't have a huge selection when it comes to specific items, you're pretty much just buying in bulk to save money and dealing with whatever they happen to have in stock. The membership is reasonable and the savings is good. Trying to find someone to help you locate a specific item is next to impossible since no one is ever on the floor unless they're handing out samples. The only other thing that bothers me about Sam's club is that they don't hire people with background. I personally feel like everyone is more than the worst mistake they ever made. Take it for what it's worth, it's not a bad place. I'm just not giving it five stars because there are some things that they could do better on.

We wished there was a Costco in Flagstaff, but we've come to greatly appreciate Sam's Club. They have an incredible cheese collection from Europe and their wine assortment good too. We love the self scan and go from the app. Costco could learn from them on that frictionless exit.

Self check outs rarely work, and manned check stands are few. Checkers are very slow, show now sense of urgency when lines are long. We experience this every time we visit, and will be canceling our membership and driving an extra hour to Costco and will likely still save time.
